The VTX-F9 delivers high-output power (6W+) in a compact, lightweight design with low latency and exceptional interference resistance. Its integrated heatsink and active cooling fan ensure stable transmission, while thermal protection safeguards against overheating during extended operation. Supports IRC Tramp protocol for OSD configuration – ideal for FPV drone racing, aerial photography, and outdoor applications.

3. Thermal Protection
Automatic power reduction activates when temperature exceeds 100°C:

Drops one power level (e.g., 6W → 800mW)


If still >100°C, drops another level (800mW → 25mW)


Maintains minimum power (25mW) until cooled
Full power restores when temperature drops below 95°C.

4. OSD Configuration via IRC Protocol
Power Control:
OSD options: 25 / 800 / 6000 → Corresponds to 25mW / 800mW / 6W
Hardware Setup:

Connect VTX's IRC pin to flight controller's unused UART TX pin


Ground station configuration:


Ports Tab → Select UART → Set Peripherals to IRC Tramp

5. Critical Usage Warnings
⚠️ POWER & ANTENNA SAFETY

ALWAYS install antenna BEFORE powering on.


Consequence: Unmatched/unconnected antennas WILL damage the PA.


Input Voltage: Strictly 7-36V DC (2S-8S).


5V OUTPUT LIMITS:


Max 500mA current


DO NOT power cameras exceeding 500mA


SHORT CIRCUIT RISK: Never connect 5V OUT to DC IN or battery.

⚠️ OPERATIONAL PRECAUTIONS

Match TX/RX frequencies exactly (see channel table).


Case becomes extremely hot during operation: Avoid contact.


Case removal for weight reduction:


Allowed but increases thermal throttling risk.
